In partnership with United Way of Greater Rochester and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, this service team collaborated on a Pencils and Paper school supply drive. The Pencils and Paper program, part of the Jewish Family Services, supports teachers and other local non-profits. With this program, teachers are able to shop and get all supplies they need for the entire year for their students. The team contributed over $6,000 in gifts from Ward Greenberg, Schmitt Foundation, and Tompkins Bank of Castile.
In addition, they collected a total of 38 marker sets, 22 dry erase marker sets, 79 crayon sets, 36 glue bottles, 6 notebooks, 23 band-aid boxes, 3 packs of paper, 1 pack of index cards, 3 bottles of hand sanitizer, 4 colored pencil sets, 6 containers of wipes, 12 glue sticks, 144 toothbrushes and toothpaste, 50 folders, 8 pads of paper, and a lot of pens and pencils.
