Leadership Rochester is very excited to welcome Bernard Rodgers Jr as our new Program Manager for community innovation.  He will be helping to design and launch great new programs for our greater Rochester community.  

Bernard Rodgers excels at developing, managing, and marketing programs for diverse audiences. His leadership style is grounded in utilizing the power of informed strategy and cultivating community connections through collaboration.

Professionally, Bernard has served several departments within Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) including Gear Up, the Multicultural Center for Academic Success, and Assessment, Technology, and Communications. In these roles, he further developed skills in program recruitment, social media management, and data collection for organizational growth.

Bernard holds a bachelor’s degree from RIT in communication with minors in business and social inequalities. He also earned a professional certificate in digital communication and multimedia from Monroe Community College.

As a proud Rochester Native, Bernard has benefitted from several leadership programs in the Greater Rochester Region including Biz Kids, Restorative Practices, Dale Carnegie, Rochester City Scholars, Men of Color Honor and Ambition (M.O.C.H.A.), and many more.

Bernard is passionate about strategic problem-solving, creating space for access, and utilizing diverse mediums to build mutually beneficial relationships. Bernard also enjoys photography, spending time with his family, and watching reality TV.
